The UK’s Tekmar Energy has secured a contract to protect array cables at the 400MW Binhai North H2 offshore wind farm in the Jiangsu province of China.

The cables and cable protection system will be installed this summer ahead of the wind farm’s expected completion at the end of 2017.

It is being developed by China’s State Power Investment Company.

The contract win takes Temkar deeper into the Asian market following the successful installation of its protection system at the Formosa 1 demonstrator project in Taiwan.
