Having just snapped up approval, the local government has secured a deal for building a “Chocolate Happy Land” in Wuxi. Construction is set to start soon, likely before the first half of 2017 is over.

This theme park will be the second of its kind in China. It will be located along Subway Line 2 at Ying Yue Park station and Cha Qiao Road station and take up about 50 acres of landspace.

“Chocolate Happy Land” will include three different park areas – the chocolate theme park, undersea park and cartoon theme park. The pictures below are for reference only.

In addition to the new theme park, Wuxi will be adding several more new tourist sites on the construction to-do list. Among them are the Taihu Fishing Village, Chang Qiao Ocean Kingdom Park, Wanda Tourism City and two new additions: Xu Xia Ke International Travel Resort and Ancient Canal Resort Park.

Xu Xia Ke International Resort will have its own theme park (including a film park), meeting rooms, an expansive resort area and a “green” villa area. It will cover over 9000 acres of land and planned total investment is about 300 billion rmb.

The Ancient Canal Resort Park will be a combination of leisure, food and shopping areas. Planned total investment is about 18 billion rmb.
